Today, let’s take a peek at the V-Day menu at Restaurant 1833, where chef Levi Mezick is offering a five-course menu for $85 per person (plus tax, gratuity and beverages).
The menu includes some tantalizing options, like oysters, steak tartare and New York steak. I suggest starting the evening with a nice bottle of champagne or perhaps one of spirit smith Mike Lay’s signature cocktails. I’ve been favoring the barrel-aged Negroni, on the rocks with a wedge of grapefruit ($12). Or get the best of both worlds—the Negroni Royal ($14) includes a splash of champagne.
