Coming soon: Lost Abbey dinner at Cannery Row Brewing Company

Next weekend, Cannery Row Brewing Company is hosting San Diego breweries for a killer lineup of events sure to please foodies and beer geeks alike. The events that caught my eye were the beer pairing dinners on Friday and Saturday night.

CRBC_San Diego Invasion flyerOn Saturday January 19 Lost Abbey owner and brewmaster Tomme Arthur will host a dinner paired with Lost Abbey favorites. The evening starts with a reception, followed by a four-course dinner prepared by CRBC chef Mark Ayers, each course highlighting a different beer. Take a peek at the menu:

Gift of the Magi Golden Holiday Ale
Fried Chicken and Waffles
Maple Syrup, Whipped Butter

Red Barn Saison
Citrus Tart
Pate Sucree, Chantilly Cream, Berry Coulis

My heart was sold when I spotted chicken and waffles, a rarity in town (sadly), but a dish that’s becoming a staple at CRBC’s beer events. At just $50 per person, this dinner is a great bargain. Seating is limited so snag your reservations sooner rather than later. Reservations available here.
