The new kid in town, La Balena Cucina Toscana, isn’t wasting time planning some delicious events for local foodies. The restaurant has only been open for a week and already there’s a special pop-up dinner planned for December 16 with Local Catch Monterey Bay in the works. Here’s the scoop:
‘Tis the season to savor seafood!
Please join us for a night of local food and revelery at Carmel’s newest restaurant, La Balena. Talented Italian chef Salvatore Panzuto will cook up locally caught sustainable seafood sourced by Local Catch Monterey Bay and seasonal organic vegetables sourced by Savor the Local. The multi-course meal will be paired with Monterey County wines.
The evening’s festivities are sponsored by Savor The Local–the brains behind Carmel Belle’s Big Night at Belle pop-up dinners–so expect the event to be in good hands, bringing the best of the local harvest (from land and sea).
There are two seatings: 5:00 or 8:00. Dinner is priced at $75 per person, plus tax. Reserve your spot here. Or call 831-708-8315 for more information.
The buzz around La Balena is growing. My first bites from the restaurant were delicious and my spies have reported good things. Hopefully I’ll have a chance to return soon for a full dinner. Stay tuned!
