Monterey Bay Restaurant Week: Alberto’s

We’re now just days away from Monterey Bay Restaurant Week. Let’s take a peek at the menu in store for diners at Alberto’s during Restaurant Week:

First course, choice of:
Pasta Fagiole soup; insalata gorgonzola; or mixed green house salad

Second course, choice of:
Boneless ribs Marsala; lasagna; or chicken Marsala
(All entrees include a side of pasta.)

Third course, choice of:
Tiramisu; orange ripieno; or lemon ripieno

Alberto’s prix fixe Restaurant Week menu costs $25. Tax, tip and beverages aren’t included.

Alberto’s always flies under the radar. Hidden away at the top of Forest, just before you get onto Highway 68, Alberto’s offers some classic Italian food for pretty reasonable prices. The prix fixe menu is a handy way to sample more of the menu, but I have to admit, it looks a little limited at first glance. Given my increasingly full dance card this coming week, I’ll probably skip Alberto’s Restaurant Week offering and take them up on the Old School Monday dinner specials available through the end of the year.
