Tucked away in Carmel, Pastries and Petals flies under the radar for most foodies when it comes to savory meals. Most of us probably know Pastries and Petals more for their sweet pastry offerings, but they’ve actually got a pretty good collection of savory fare on their lunch menu. This summer, they also introduced a weekly dinner series.
Dinner continues this fall in new form—the Pasta Pranzo “supper” service offered in the early evenings. The menu features many italian classics, plus a weekly special entree, all prepared courtesy of Salvatore Panzutto making cameo appearances in the kitchen.
This week’s special entree? How about:
Pollo Ripieno alla Melle
Chicken rolled with a stuffing of Parmesan cheese, ground beef, Caciotta cheese, pork and Prosciutto di Parma, topped with an Italian apple chutney and served with farro risotto on the side
Um, sounds delicious, doesn’t it? Mangia!
