Monterey Bay Restaurant Week: The Golden Tee

The countdown to Monterey Bay Restaurant Week continues. Let’s take a peek at another new addition to the restaurant lineup, this time looking at the Restaurant Week menu for The Golden Tee, the restaurant at the Monterey Airport—an airport I’m all too familiar with lately since I’m spending most of the next two weeks traveling.

First course, choice of:
Hugo’s quesadilla; Monterey Bay tubes and tentacles calamari; or shrimp cocktail

Second course, choice of:
Prime rib with mashed potatoes and fresh vegetable; calamari and sanddab combo with twice-baked potato and fresh vegetable; or chicken parmigiana with spaghetti and fresh vegetable

Third choice, choice of:
Key lime pie; Chocolate Lovin’ pie; or caramel apple granny

The Golden Tee’s Restaurant Week menu costs $35; tax, tip and beverages are not included.

In all my years on the Monterey Peninsula, I’ve actually never been to the Golden Tee. But it’s supposed to be one of the area’s hidden culinary treats. I’d love to sample their menu during Restaurant Week, but ironically, I’ll be too busy flying in and out of the Monterey Airport to take part.
