Monterey Bay Restaurant Week: L’Escargot

As long we we’re looking at Carmel restaurants, let’s take a peek at the menu at L’Escargot for Monterey Bay Restaurant Week, shall we?

Fixed Prixe

First Course, choice of:
Soup du Jour or Parisian Butter Lettuce Salad

Entrees, choice of:
Fresh Fish of the Day; Coq au Vin with Garlic Mashed Potatoes; or Slow Braised Bison Shortribs with Cipolinni Onions

Desserts, choice of:
Vanilla Ice Cream or Chocolate Brownie

L’Escargot’s Restaurant Week menu costs $25 and doesn’t include tax, tip or beverages.

L’Escargot is one of Carmel’s hidden gems. It’s a quaint little restaurant serving up classic French food. They actually serve a pretty reasonable prix fixe menu year-round, and I’ve always felt that’s actually a better deal than the Restaurant Week menu. If you go—during Restaurant Week or otherwise—don’t forget Wednesdays are half-priced wine nights.
