New in town: Sunday lasagna night at il Vecchio

The new kid on the block, il Vecchio, is adding another special dinner to their weekly lineup. First it was Family Dinner on Tuesday nights, now Sunday nights will host Lasagna Night, from 5:00 to 9:00:

domenica della lasagna
every Sunday evening
lasagna romana
Llayers of house-made pasta with a ragù of beef, pork and sausage, tomato and béchamel cream sauce, parmesan and mozzarella – $13

lasagna con melanzane e verdure
Sautéed eggplant, zucchini, spinach, onions with tomato sauce, with parmesan and mozzarella – $13

timballo di polenta
Layers of polenta baked with three cheeses: gorgonzola, mozzarella, parmesan and pecorino – $13

penne al bianco
Baked penne in a parmesan cream sauce – $10

combination of any two – $16

There’s a bit of a catch for il Vecchio’s new Sunday Lasagna Night–they will no longer offer their signature pastas, like gnocchi or spaghetti, on Sunday nights. The baked pastas will be the only pasta offering on Sunday nights. (Don’t worry–the grill is still available for their signature dishes like chicken cacciatora or grilled Italian sausages.)

Remember to keep up-to-date with news and special events from il Vecchio via Facebook.
